Choose Your Own Adventure
I had my first podcast interview yesterday evening on my best friend's top ranking podcast, and we got to talking, in part, about how we are each in control of the direction our hustle, businesses and lives take.
We are each in control of our lives. We can yield a tremendous amount of power on what happens in each moment, each day and each path we take. But it’s easier a lot of the time to relinquish control and blame external factors for what you don’t do, haven’t done or are never going to do. The reality tho is that what happens next is ALWAYS our choice.
We can choose to make decisions that help or hinder.
We can choose to surround ourselves with people that uplift or that drag us down.
We can choose to start betting on ourselves or we can choose to bet against ourselves.
And we can take tangible steps forward in our businesses and lives, or not ❤️
Do you know that old teen book series Choose Your Own Adventure? Where each few pages you had 3 choices to make for the character and depending on what you chose you went to a different page and started reading a new version of the story? Life is much like this only a million fold.
Every possibility is available to you.

7 weeks ago I decided to open a conversation with my amazing employer about starting my side hustle. As a result, 4 weeks ago I went live with Jessica XO Lewis (then 'This Jessa Lewis') - my Social Media Consulting agency (which I now work on in conjunction with 4 days a week at my main hustle).
I decided to start telling people what I did, who I was and what my services were - immediately. I signed my first two clients on that first day - before I had even hammered out the details of my offer or written it in full anywhere.
The next day I made a choice to ask my best friend “How much traction do I need in my hustle, to be on your podcast?”. 4 weeks later we recorded the interview.
I made a choice at each stage to align myself with the future I wanted and knew was possible. You can do this too.
