Be More Random

Did you know that the platforms can tell when you aren't acting like a normal human being? Their AI and algorithms get stronger and smarter every year and they can identify bot, spam and inauthentic activity accordingly.⠀

This includes when people are NOT being their genuinely unpredictable weird selves i.e. human AF.⠀

When people are just being people and adding value this in turn attracts other people and engages them. When this is within the context of social media - it means that less people leave the platform so it's no wonder the platforms want to encourage this.⠀

When people are showing up only for the end game and from a selfish point of view this is generally read energetically by others (at a conscious or subconscious level) and it feels inauthentic so less people are attracted and less people engage.⠀

For example, when all someone does is post sales posts or boring one liner half hearted engagement questions. Or when someone has more keyword spam in their blog post than actual take away points. Or when they're only reposting trending stuff or rewording the topic of the day on a consistent basis.⠀

This makes people want to switch off and move away so it's no surprise that the algorithms are set to watch out for this and de-prioritise that type of content.⠀

Some more subtle ways that we've prob all been guilty of at some point which present as patterned less than authentic behaviour is: scheduling all your posts exactly on the hour, using the same block of hashtags regardless of the image or description, posting stock images or just no images of yourself (pics with faces actually get 38% more engagement btw) or not allowing your own voice to come through in your posts.⠀

The time of the 'Beige Copy and Paste Copycat Robots' is over. Join the humans.
